「イランのウラン」を伝える記事を読んで

むか〜〜し、私がまだ義務教育を受けていたとき、三度のメシよりダジャレが好きな先生がうちのクラスの社会科を担当していたことがある。クソまじめな顔をして、決然と、吐き捨てるように、ダジャレを口にする先生だった。

この先生のダジャレのなかで、どうにも忘れられないもののひとつが

ウランは絶対に売らんぞ。

である。今頃この先生は「イランにはウランは絶対に売らんぞ、といってもいらんと言われるかもしれないが」などと、クソまじめに決然と言っているに違いない。

イランがウラン濃縮に成功したようだ。

この記事の第４パラグラフが

で、その次（第５パラグラフ以降）でイスラエルの見解など出てくるので、ライティングとしては「なるほど、こう書くのか」とふむふむと読めばよいところではあるが、しかしもうちょっと煽らないような書き方をしてほしいと思う。

というか、Richard Norton-Taylorならこういう書き方はしないだろうな、とか思うのだが。

さて、イランのウランだが、上記ガーディアン記事を見て「煽るねぇ〜」と思っていたのだが、ガーディアンであれということは、ほかはもっとすごいということであると考えておくのがおばちゃまモア・ベターよ。

なんとまあ、USの国務省筋から「イランは16日で核爆弾を製造できるかもしれない」という話が出ている、っていうのだ。

April 12 (Bloomberg) -- Iran, defying United Nations Security Council demands to halt its nuclear program, may be capable of making a nuclear bomb within 16 days, a U.S. State Department official said.

これは12日付の記事で、私は12日から13日にかけて何度もBBC NEWSのトップページやガーディアンのトップページを見ているが、このような報道はないことから、このStephen Rademakerっつーおっさん（かどうか知らないけど）が「とりあえず、そのような懸念を表明しておく」役目を仰せつかって発言しているだけではなかろうかと思う。というかそうとしか考えたくない。

しかし「イランの核爆弾は16日で」ってのは、「イラクのＷＭＤは45分で」と同じパターンだよね。助動詞のcouldの使い方も同じだし。

orz.....
